commissioned work

A collaborative process, guided by conversation and trust

I accept a limited number of commissions each year. Commissioned work begins with a conversation to understand your ideas, context, and whether the project is a good fit.

Commissions are best suited for those who value process and are open to artistic interpretation.

How the Process Works

  1. Initial Inquiry
Share your idea, timeline, and any relevant context using the form below.
  2. Conversation and Proposal
If the project feels aligned, I will follow up to discuss scope, pricing, and timeline.
  3. Deposit and Start
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure the commission and begin work.
  4. Creation and Completion
The work is developed in the studio and completed within the agreed timeframe.

Payment and Terms

  • A non-refundable deposit of 40% is required to begin work
  • The deposit covers planning, materials, and studio time
  • The remaining balance is due upon completion, prior to delivery
  • Payment details are confirmed before work begins

Scope and Artistic Direction

Commissioned work is informed by conversation, reference, and intention. Final artistic decisions remain mine.

Minor adjustments may be discussed during the process. Significant changes in scope or direction may require an additional fee.

Timeline

Timelines vary based on size, complexity, and current studio commitments. Estimated timelines will be shared before the commission begins.

Important Notes

  • Not all commission requests are the right fit
  • I reserve the right to decline projects that are not aligned with my practice
  • Deposits are non-refundable once work has begun

Submit a Commission Inquiry

If you feel this approach aligns with what you are looking for, you are welcome to submit an inquiry using the form below.*

I review requests carefully and respond as availability allows.

*If you are unsure how to describe your idea, that is okay. A starting point is enough.
