To All My Black Sisters painting is a part of the Intuitive Abstract series.

Bold colors and metallic ink represent the free, rebellious spirit of a young black woman in the picture. The woman in the painting is a collective image inspired by black Americans, especially women, in their tireless fight for social justice.

This work was created during the protests sparked by a murder of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and other black Americans in 2020.

The work is framed in a chunky gold box-frame without glass.

Shows and recognitions:

The painting was a part of a Quarantine Aquamarine group show at the Art On 30th gallery, San Diego, CA in August 2020. The show was featuring work produces by the local artists during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown in California.

First place ribbon in the Acrylic category at San Dieguito Group Show in January 2021.

About the Intuitive Abstract series:

Intuitive Abstract series began with the demo pieces I was creating during Intuitive Abstract classes with my students. I noticed that I get carried away in the process and the demo work starts representing my own self-exploration at that moment.
